Tammen

Harry H. and Agnes Reid Tammen were early benefactors of The Children’s Hospital, giving much of their wealth to establish The Tammen Trust in 1924. Today, the Tammen Society, named for this generous couple whose endowment left a legacy to children, honors the Tammens along with other individuals who have provided for The Children’s Hospital through a deferred gift, created to benefit Children’s at some point in the future. View list of Tammen Society members.

Individuals establishing a deferred gift for Children’s automatically become members of the Tammen Society. Benefits afforded to Tammen Society members include the following:

  • Recognition on the Tammen Society donor wall in The Children’s Hospital for realized estates valued at $100,000 and above
  • Recognition in The Children Hospital’s Annual Report
  • Invitations to special receptions and programs
  • Informative hospital publications, such as the Annual Report and The Children's Hospital Foundation’s newsletter

Members of the Tammen Society may designate their estate gifts for specific purposes or for unrestricted use where needed most. Their gifts may also fund endowments that provide perpetual support for the health and well-being of children entrusted to our care. Through thoughtfully arranged gifts, members of the Tammen Society help continue our mission to provide the best possible health care for children, following the tradition started by the Tammens.

New members of the Tammen Society join a distinguished group of donors who have left an important legacy to The Children’s Hospital. We are most grateful for their generosity and commitment to caring for children.
