Why support Hiking for Hearts
We raise funds for The Children's Hospital Heart Institute's Welcome Program to ensure that the non-clinical needs of Heart Institute patient families are being met. Some examples of these needs include housing, meals, and transportation. In 2009, the Welcome Program assisted 457 families and provided 251 nights of hotel stays.

Last year, families came from 11 states all over the nation:
