Tune in now as Alice 105.9 broadcasts stories of strength and survival live from The Children’s Hospital Boettcher Atrium. The ninth annual Alice’s 36 Hours for Kids radiothon runs today, February 17, through Friday, February 19, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During a holiday dinner last year, 10-year-old Matthew’s grandparents announced it was time for the kids and grandkids to learn about giving back and helping people. They were inspired to introduce philanthropy by the increased need of other families and nonprofits as a result of the challenging economy.

Peyton was 5 years old when her mother took her to the doctor complaining of headaches and nausea. Peyton was physically weak and wobbly during her exam; her motor skills were obviously being affected by something. Her pediatrician recommended a CT scan at The Children’s Hospital.

The Children’s Hospital’s Neuropsychiatric Special Care (NSC) program received a surprise donation in early January from a teen with Asperger’s, a neurobiological disorder that is part of a group of conditions called autism spectrum disorders.

Almost two years ago, Christian Moreno was diagnosed with liver cancer when he was just 5 years old. After receiving the traumatic news, Christian and his family immediately went to The Children's Hospital, where Christian underwent chemotherapy, followed by a liver transplant. Shortly after surgery, Christian suffered complications and required a second liver transplant.

On November 13, 14 and 15, Spanish-speaking Entravision listeners around Denver came together again to support The Children’s Hospital.

More than 300 people came out to support the Children's Miracle Network's "Miles for Miracles Torch Relay" that raised $15,000 for The Children's Hospital on Nov. 3.

This year’s Gala celebrated the hospital’s big dreams of advancing pediatric medicine and saving lives.

When children and parents from the Denver community began lining up at The Children’s Hospital on Saturday, October 17, to receive free seasonal flu vaccines donated by CoBiz Financial, it was just after 6 a.m.

Now in its ninth year, the 2009 Tiny Miracles Fundraising events, sponsored by Metropolitan Homes, have been a huge success! Donors dug deep to support an amazing cause and be a part of three incredible events.

On August 30, Denver metro area fire departments helped raised $120,000 for The Children's Hospital Burn Program through the annual Hot Times Kool Cars charity auto show and raffle.

IP5280's Climbing For Kids 2009 raised $50,000, more than double what was raised in 2008. The money will be distributed to The Children’s Hospital and The Kempe Foundation.

Many of our doctors at Children's once again made the annual Top Docs list in 5280 Magazine, demonstrating the power of your support.
